Suriname- Digicel Suriname has signed an interconnection agreement with Telesur, the state owned wireless company and is slated to begin operations in it’s 23rd market in a couple of weeks. The talks between the two companies started in April this year and has now just now ended after what both party has called tough but successful negotiations. Digicel began its foray in the Caribbean and Latin American markets just over 5 years ago in Jamaica and has since become the largest mobile services provider in the Caribbean.
