Minvestment.com switches from ebullion to libertyreserve.com

January 29, 2008

This is an official news bulletin from minvestment.com the HYIP, that’s been getting some Jamaicans equally excited and worried. Their investment option offers you the opportunity of investing US$100, lock it in for 150 days and get US$11,605.90 with an average daily interest rate of 1.4% -1.9%.

We carried a couple of days ago that Jamaicans having heard about from as early as mid last year have jumped head first. In doing our research on this online only investment company, we found some disturbing forum posts about the cease and desist order from ebullion.com to minvestment.com
This is minvestment.com’s official response.

Due to circumstances beyond our control we are forced to stop using e-bullion as one of the payment processors on our website. As the result of this, we have converted all current account balances nominated in E-bullion into Liberty Reserve. All pending E-bullion withdrawal requests have been deleted and you now need to re-submit your withdrawal requests so that we could pay you via Liberty Reserve. In case you do not have a Liberty Reserve account number in your account profile you will need to enter it through the ‘Update User Profile’ page in your account. You will find all the necessary instructions inside the ‘Update User Profile’ area.

We would also like to provide you with detailed instructions on how to open and fund your Liberty Reserve account. Below are simple step-by-step instructions on how this can be done
- Go to www.libertyreserve.com website.
- Click on the ‘Create Account’ link at the top of the page.
- Enter your contact email address and check your mailbox to receive the account activation code.
- Fill out the account registration form and click ‘Agree’ button below.
- Retrieve your account number and Security PIN (both are created randomly by Liberty Reserve) from your contact email address.
- Make sure you save your Liberty Reserve account number, Security PIN and Login PIN in a safe place.
- Once you have opened your Liberty Reserve account you need to log into it by entering your account number, typing in your Login PIN and entering the turing number.
- To fund your Liberty Reserve account you need to click on the’Buy/Sell LR’ button in the left-hand menu.
- Choose the exchanger provider you would like to buy LR from and contact them to obtain payment instruction.
- Follow the instructions provided by the exchange provider.
Furthermore, as a compensation for all the inconvenience caused by the fact that you now need to use Liberty Reserve instead of e-bullion, we will add extra 5% to every deposit you make with us via Liberty Reserve.

What’s next for Minvestment.com investors?
Those of us who are in just to see what happens at the end of our US$100 this is water off a ducks back. But what of those others who are getting jittery because they have invested lots more.

My questions
Why can’t we find much information about who’s behind minvestment.com online. How about the who, where and what of this company. While we understand the use of the Internet for managing customer relationships, I am typically skittish of sites and do not offer a office address, names of management team, a contact person. Will the person or people behind minvestment.com please show yourselves.

I enjoy reading your aticles. I too am invested in minvestment and was curious to the switch. I had read through some forums that there was an issue with someone making fake accounts. The problem is, you never know who is right. I agree with you on the fact that its very bizarre to have a company with no offices or management. How do you take the information of them opening regional offices? I am on the fence, I believe when I read about it I guess. I was wondering if you knew if your account reached over 200,000 before the 150 days would be interest daily be able to be withdrawn? or this locked for 150 also. They are not very good with getting back on questions that I have so I have resorted to forums.

    Thanks for the articles

Nice blog you have here. Like I’ve said and mentioned, we’ve seen alot of these HYIP sites around. Its very likely that Minvestment is a ponzi scam and I wish everyone who has put money in good luck.

What part of this does not sound like a scam?

A friend of mine in Jamaica told me about this investment club and said it was worth trying, so I went online and informed myself fully and went thru all the application process about three weeks ago, my only problem is that so far I have not yet gotten a reply from the exchanger I used, E-gold.com, so I can’t pass a judgement on minvestment.com. By the way the principals are based somewhere in the British Virgin Islands. Will someone who actually went in and got returns please update me?

So weird. No matter how much research I do about Minvestments (who claims to have been around since 2000) I can’t find one person who has actually been paid. It is so tempting to put money with them because they accept such a small investment, however a little bit from a lot of people can add up to a huge scam.

very true..but your wasting time by not finding out…thats my reasoning…i put in 100…no big deal if they shut down the site and walk away with it but if it isnt…then 12,000 sure is nice
speaking of which is anyone able to access the website?
