Caribbean New Media Unconference this Friday

On May 1, it will be the 10th staging of the Caribbean Media and Communication Conference. A  3 day event to be held in Guyana that will cover issues such as  Emerging New Business Models, Old Media in a New Media World and Technology Developments.

Added to the regular conference agenda, this year they’ve included pre conference forums across the Caribbean region called unconferences. The one for Jamaica is being staged by the Caribbean Institute of Media and Communications (CARIMAC) this Friday, April 18 and I’m going to listen to network and watch all the lightening talks, which will include my business partners Chad Cunningham is going to give on Caribclix.com the Caribbean online advertising network I co-founded with him and three other tech entrepreneurs last year.

Some of the topics for discussion are: Mobile innovations (emerging), Mobile commerce, Mobile meets web, Citizen Journalism and Crowd Wisdom. I’m looking forward to hearing all the lightening talks and networking. If you want to attend or give a lightening talk , it’s FREE, so sign up here.
