Sharing Knowledge On The Web Is Good For…

work.jpg…PR and reputation building.

Whether you are an entrepreneur or a professional, you want to build up your reputation in your field and you want to constantly promote your story. One of the best ways to do that is to share your knowledge.Blogs are the main way that people are currently imparting their knowledge and expertise but you should also take advantage of “How To” documents, whitepapers and question/answer services like that in LinkedIn. I recently discovered two great sites to share knowledge and wanted to share them with you because they are free and can only help.Scribd.com

. I wrote about Scribd and iPaper in my column at SiliconCaribe recently and I have really fallen in love with the site because of the ability to download the presentations in any format.

You can see my documents here and we are working on adding some more.

Scribd.com describes itself as “a Silicon Valley startup creating technology that makes it easy to share documents online” and personally I think they are achieving that goal.Work.com

.I submitted my first “How To” article on Thursday, Successful Business Networking On Facebook, and it already has a ranking of 8.2 - Uncommonly Useful.

When you do a search for “Facebook”, it shows up as #3 and is ranked in the top 4 articles, the top one being written by a Work.com staffer!

This article will be found by numerous people as the website grows in popularity and it also promotes our story.

Work.com is a new service from Business.com, the largest business-to-business search engine and directory. Business.com was acquired in 2007 for $345 million by R.H. Donnelley Corp., one of the largest print and yellow pages publishers.

It certainly couldn’t hurt to submit some articles to Work.com
