I just found this site websiteoutlook.com and what it does is give a snapshot sale valuation of any website. Clearly I just ran amok, typing in the domain names of any and every site that came to my mind. So is it accurate, well, you be the judge. Here’s how it works
How it works.
The site itself explains its process- “Websiteoutlook contains a collection of actual number of pageviews from other websites. The visitor data is combined with information about number of links that point towards the site, country, Alexa ranking and other data that is available on-line. All this information has been used to make a formula that uses the information that is available on-line to estimate the number of pageviews, its worth and possible daily income that the site has.”

They explain that while “It is not an exact science, it does give you a very good picture of how many pageviews, daily ads revenue a website has. It can be used for numerous purposes especially when doing research. An Advertiser can get an estimate of how many pageviews a site has before buying adverts. If you want to buy a website or domain Websiteoutlook can give you a pretty good idea about the number of pageviews and website worth the site has before contacting the owner. Websiteoutlook is good for any initial research or just because you’re curious.
Try it out and tell me.

That site is piss poor when it comes to accuracy in my opinion.
Valuation of a company is a lot more than pageviews and linkbacks. John Chow must laugh since he generates far more revenue than that from the site.
That alone makes this website valuation thingy worthless. The value of any business is determined by EBITDA and how much money it is contributing to the bottom line of the parent company (if there is one).
Valuation is also determined by what a potential buyer can do with the site. I would love to have seen what this thing said was the valuation for MySpace.com, YouTube.com, Bebo.com and even Broadast.com back in the day before their big splashes.
My guess….worth a whole lot less than was paid for them.
It is a mildly fun tool though.

I think WEBSITEOUTLOOK.com offer internet users a USELESS SERVICE as the service in and of itself is not accurate and even state so on their website. Not to mention that the individuals behind this service could be illegally interfering with investment deals or violating trade laws by posting data that would actually mislead potential investors, some websites has sold for far greater amounts than what websiteoutlook has given credit. Irregardless of available backlinks or any other analytical data that websiteoutlook uses to evaluate websites the data would be “completely irrelevant” pursuant to any investment deals I would pursue. There have been reports that the service evaluates sites that do not physically exist and I personally know of an evaluation posted by websiteoutlook whereby the site did not actually exist in their database, with a return search stating “no data available”. The individuals behind websiteoutlook are nothing more than AD-rats seeking a means to generate traffic by exploiting millions of websites on the internet. Their website even incorporates “Daily Ads Revenue”, I don’t know about other site owners but I certainly wouldn’t want my daily ad revenues posted to the world as it may be privy information. There should be some universal internet rule of law or proxy that precludes AD-rats such as websiteoutlook from running unauthorized analysis on owner’s sites. And I know from personal experience if you contact websiteoutlook instructing them to cease and desist these so-called expert advisors will just ignore your request. Maybe if the owners behind websiteoutlook gets enough feedback like this they will stop running their STUPID analysis on other owners websites and focus their sights on a more creative way of generating advertisement revenues. Again, STUPID service.

The first time a found out about that site was when I did a search for my site to see where my links are. It was a good feeling to see my very young website worth something. That said, I don’t know how accurate their valuations are either so I will not put too much stock in their analysis eventhough my website value has now appreciated to $4,406.30.

I found cubestat.com to be a little more realistic, valued my site at around $600 as opposed to $2000 on WebsiteOutlook

Here is how WebsiteOutlook works:
1) $4,406.30 / 2 years = $2203.15
2) $2203.15 / 12 months = $183.60
3) Roger makes $183.60 with Adsense a month (average)

I don’t think they are very far off, I tried my sites, & found it was off by pennies.

You should also consider http://www.websitefact.com ; they provide a nice summary of the website performance. I find their WF rank being more accurate than Alexa.
