How Facebook exploded the Fashion Brand POSH in the Jamaican Market

Tamia Carey is on a mission to make Jamaica fashionable. Having served as a stylist and personal shopper for a select clientele in Jamaica and abroad for many years, two months ago, the social network site Facebook exploded with POSH Accessories.

“I wanted to share my particular yen for trendy accessories with a wider customer base,” she told Flair in an email.

Carey, who returned home a year ago, has a background in project management as her father is a contractor. But she always had a passion for styling. Now she is able to do both. Every month, she travels for about three days, personally selecting all the pieces. She has bought pieces from Dubai, Miami, Colombia and New York. She only carries one of any piece. Carey, who admits that she loves to travel, says she tries to visit the style district of wherever she is. more
