St. Kitts and Nevis has highest percentage of internet users in the Caribbean

trendsTECH NEWS – The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis has the highest percentage of internet users in the Caribbean.That’s according to Caribbean Journal, which said it recently looked at a World Development Indicators 2012.

It said 79 percent of the population in St. Kitts and Nevis are internet users among 21 countries including Colombia, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago and the United States Virgin Islands.Coming in a tie for second were Aruba and the Cayman Islands, of which 74 percent of the population were internet users.

Third, Barbados, 73 percent; fourth, Bahamas, 72 percent; fifth, Trinidad & Tobago, 60 percent; sixth, Dominica, 55 percent; seventh, Puerto Rico, 51 percent; Colombia and St. Lucia are tied in eighth place with 49 percent each; 9th St. Vincent and the Grenadines, 48 percent; 10th, Antigua and Barbuda, 47 percent; 11th Jamaica, 47 percent; 12th Dominican Republic,45 percent; 13th Venezuela, 44 percent; 14th Grenada, 42 percent; 15th United States Virgin Islands, 41 percent; 16th Suriname, 35 percent; 17th Guyana, 33 percent; 18th Cuba, 26 percent; 19th Belize, 25 percent and 20th Haiti,10 percent.
