IslandTradesman.com – A Marketplace For Local Trade Services in the Caribbean

It’s probably an island thing! We end every known trade service with the word man.  We are always asking a friend, if they know the best car man, Gardener man, TV Repairman, Carptenter man and Phone repair man. It’s not politically correct, it’s highly cultural and just is. So one can understand why Entrepreneur Wendy Lee launched IslandTradesman.com A Marketplace For Local Trade Services in the Caribbean a couple of months ago.

It came from her own frustration as a woman seeking to find highly recommended people who are professional and get the work done without price gouging. One could almost call it a Caribbean Angie’s list, but as you will see from the site, it’s version 1.0, yet ramping up very fast.

That said, it’s has huge potential. She is putting a face to the local services industry and service reviews in the palms of people who need them.  You get a profile of a tradesman or tradewoman, location and you can read or leave your own reviews. And trust us…this is needed.
