Less than two weeks ago, Jamaica Tourist Board( JTB) announced that it’ll be paying attention to more social media. Duh, they are about a year late and I do hope that includes giving their website a social and design make over too. As too often we see organisations who feel that see social media as the curious after thought not as an integral part of their marketing strategy. No surprise then that their twitter.com/visitjamaica , @visitjamaica ID is well gone, taken…brand jacked by some person who captured it from 5:40 PM Apr 24th, 2009 . I guess the dude who registered the Twitter ID, Simon may be generous enough to hand it over or maybe some fast talking persona is going to convince them that it’s ok and they don’t need it right. Don’t know about you guys but I want to see just what does JTB mean when they say their are investing in social media.

We’ve had some great questions, insights and debates here on SiliconCaribe.com and we now present to you our list of the most heavily read and commented of our blog posts for 2008. There are in no particular order and they are across a range of topics. Discover, remember, enjoy!
