Here we go again…forex trading company targets Jamaicans on Facebook

You’d think that at the very least they’d learn to spell your country’s name right.  These forex trading companies who work so hard to help you part with your hard earned cash. I saw this ad on Facebook yesterday. Another one of those “great can’t lose offers” in forex of course. The Facebook ad reads ” Special offer for Jamaica People. Deposit $500 and trade with $100,000. Start forex trading today. Paypal or Credit Card required”. Let’s be straight up, this looks like a scam, doesn’t it? Then when I  clicked on the link and it took me to a page which begins with the “success story” of a teacher, well all my low expectations were met. I decided not to put up a screen shot of that crap, it would be giving them way too much free publicity. If you see it on Facebook, click it and prepare to hurl.
The Google Search Revelations.

I did a Google Search for UFX Bank and found a great looking site chock full with as many white-faced stock photos that a professional looking site needs to look global and official. They even seem transparent and approachable with a bunch of phone numbers staring at you. When you look closer however, there are no real people, real team associated with this “company”. I could go on and on.

Another look down the Google Search Results page revealed…drum roll…that they the 9month old company is “not regulated.”

This just reminds me of the days of minvestment.com, capitalor, capitalblu and all the others. The thing is that forex trading is a legitimate business and industry and yes it’s worth billions and billions, but some of these schemes as we’d say in Jamaica, makes the industry look bad at times. So of course, investors be aware.
