Despite the lack of a memorable brand name yet with an excellent underlying ethos of  Buy Jamaica, Build Jamaica theme, asljamaica.com labels themselves ” Your Online Wholesale Club” that gives you “Real Rewards, Not Coupons” went live with a grocery shopping store online this week.

In the making for four years, the site offers online shopping and they’ll even pack it and deliver it to you. According to the Jamaica Observer report “There are four centrally located pick-up points, one in Portmore, one in Spanish Town and two in central Kingston. The delivery to the pick-up locations is free. If however you want the added convenience of having the groceries delivered to your door, ASL will do this for J$200 anywhere in Kingston. In Spanish Town it is still a nominal charge of J$400. ASL has partnered with a courier service which will deliver islandwide outside of Kingston and Spanish Town starting at J$1,600 but that will vary depending on the weight of the goods.”

We’re gonna give it a test drive!
