Why a Silicon Caribe TOP40 List

Tech Entrepreneurs all over the world have been changing the way we live, play and do business and it has been a  growing trend here in the Caribbean especially over the last two years. We have seen a rise in the number of startups pitching at our event Kingston BETA as well as the number of aspiring attendees.

We’ve also seen signs of potential hotspots brewing across the Caribbean in Barbados and Trinidad especially, with St Kitts, St Vincent and Antigua showing up too. We’re also bringing Caribbean Tech Entrepreneurs together in the same space for a single event Caribbean BETA the first of its kind Tech Entrepreneurship conference on November 25th, 2011 in Kingston Jamaica and we’re expecting the event with help inspire even more people to get into the game.

The Caribbean is taking its place in the world regarding startups that create jobs and unleash innovations locally and globally that solve real problems and make people lives better.

We want to highlight this and give Caribbean Tech entrepreneurs a platform to be recognised and to inspire others. So we decided  to create the Silicon Caribe Top 40 Caribbean Tech Entrepreneurs to Watch List in 2012.

Online submissions will be open right here on November 3, 2011.
