Haiti wants to use more ICTs in its public administration services

TECH NEWS – During a recent press conference, Jean Marie Altéma,, Coordinator of the unit e-governance in the Office of Prime Minister, explained that in order to ensure transparency in public administration, and improve services and living conditions of the population the government is convinced that the use of Information Technology and Communication (ICT) is essential to improve the quality of services offered to the population.

 

Jean Marie Altéma, cited in particular the installation of a video conferencing system at the National Palace, in ministries and the 10 departmental delegations of the countrywhich allows the senior civil state to participate in virtual meetings and make great decisions to engage the nation without having to move. Stressing that these modern communication tools are also useful in crisis situation, where for the first time, in Council of Ministers, the delegates and departmental officials of the National Police and Civil Protection could draw, in turn, the balance of their respective departments.
