ICT+CLIMATE CHANGE NEWS – The U.S.Agency for International Development (USAID) and the REDDOM Foundation recently launched a climate-friendly platform to develop, implement and generate information and knowledge for the country’s agro sector, to help it make smart choices to deal with the risks of climate change.
Senior officials, business organizations, and the country’s entire agribusiness sector are expected to use the information generated through the platform to make key decisions. “For this reason it’s imperative to train potential users, to correctly and efficiently use the information provided via the platform.”
In a statement, the agencies said 12 weather stations will be installed in the program’s first phase, to provide climatic and meteorological information from specific areas, initially for the Northwest region. Six stations will be installed in schools at Yuna, using Wireless Vantage Pro2, and also installed at ISA University, in Santiago. More
