The goal is to be the Craiglist on Mobile, to reinvent the classifieds space…on mobile. That’s what William Taylor, the developer and co-founder of Florida-based Npute Ltd told us about its Classifieds App ListnChat. The Android version of the App went public beta a couple of days ago with an initial push in the Caribbean and USA. He said the immediate goals are to grow the user base and to generate content on the app.

Funded by American angel investors, ListnApp is the second and best released version and took 3 months to build. We asked him why he chose to go Android first and he said, Android has greater global market penetration – 79% of all smartphones are Android. That said, the iPhone version will launch in about 90 days.

The official description goes a little something like this.

ListNChat was created to serve on-the-go mobile users with a full-featured mobile classified ad system. ListNChat utilizes device level authentication, which means no personal information is required. We offer an embedded private anonymous chat system, as well as public communication options such as opt-in phone calls, email, and SMS messaging. Users can opt-in to publishing listings on an embedded searchable map. Ads can be managed on the fly with editing, pausing, and deletion of ads.

Download the beta here, give it a test drive and tell us what you think.
