Jamaican Startup NextComesLove.com jumps into Caribbean online dating game

Even with Jampersonals.com, Caribsingles.com, Caribbeancupid.com, CaribbeanMatch.com still going strong from the mid 2000s, NextComesLove.com has jumped into the Caribbean online dating game with its recent launch. The confident founder Monique Powell, says “I think the English speaking Caribbean is under served in this area.” She launched with her initial sights set on Jamaica with the wider Caribbean following right after.

Having assessed the lay of the land, Powell says that she believes NextComesLove.com can compete and take a slice of the Caribbean online dating pie, because of the following reasons.

(1) The two large overseas “top of mind” sites that many Jamaicans would see being advertised on cable are paid sites have very few Caribbean people on them (probably because they’re paid)…so they’d be nearly useless to anyone here who signs up

(2) There are a number of less savvy people here who do have Internet access, even if it’s just on their phones, who’ve never really been exposed to online dating in this form…there’s an opportunity here to reach them.
(3) There are Caribbean online dating sites…but none are particularly prolific in any of the three markets I’m targeting (she’s keeping those a secret right now) there’s an opportunity to take that spot in people’s minds.

NextComesLove.com is free to uses, will initially be ad supported (completely free for
users), with premium features will be added later on that users can opt to pay for.

Good luck to yah!
