CUBlogz is another Caribbean blog network that just launched and was spawned from an American-based group of Caribbean Americans. They’ve branded themselves the Official Caribbean blog Network “where the best of the best in the Caribbean web scene reside (their blogs anyway ).” They went on to say on their site, that they “host some of the most notable names on the web, and we are expanding everyday…”
So Cariblogger.com which was the first Caribbean’s blog network now has some competition. Let’s see what happens in a few months now that Caribbean bloggers worldwide has more choice.

Yeah CaribWeb…..Yeah the domain name and branding choice is not one built for longevity I believe. They wanted to show relation to the main site caribunity.com but they also need to have chosen a brand name that could stand on its own.

Yea I seen this out there for a while now the design is nice and professional but You guys are right, the name is weird, doesn’t really say Caribbean just says CU. blogz with a z, can do with out that as well. I think if it was CaribBlogs it would be easier to get. I dont think cariblogger was first though, but who knows anyone can claim to be the official one but you gotta prove it.

Hello Ingrid,
Actually we (Cublogz.com) have been around for quite sometime…Almost a year. I’ve been trying to reach out to you by email but not sure if you’re getting them.
In actuality we are the first Caribbean Blog Network. No harm no foul though.

As far as I’m concerned, we’re the first and only blog network. Spammy autoblogs don’t count, I’m afraid.
We’re actually try to get *real* people to signup and use the service rather than scrape other people’s site and repost content.
CUBlogz has been doing this to caribbean news sites and a couple of our own bloggers, and we’re about ready to block them.
Stop polluting the internets, please.

Spammy autoblogs? You mean the sites we use to promote those websites on your network? Those “spammy” auto blogs link directly back to the original content. We do not carry full articles for this very reason.
In any event it was an interesting post nonetheless. Blocking wont be necessary. Send the list of blogs that are apart of your network and I will personally remove them from our “spammy autoblog”. But I need owners consent as I didn’t get the memo on you being their personal representative.

For those that do not know..
The purpose of CUBlogZ.com is to promote sites that don’t have the resources to get their message to a large audience (Since our network is the largest…that’s not up for debate).
Getting back to the point. It is unethical, in business and other wise to go on record claiming to be the first, when you clearly are not. As the evidence above shows.
If you would like to see a list of websites with “real people” participating in the CaribUnity Network I can provide those on request.
