Their founders said that MAS2TV.com was “born from the need to see more Caribbean Content in mainstream media.” MAS2TV stands for Multiculturalism, Art, Society, and Sports Television, and was developed in order to highlight Caribbean filmmakers and the creative industry and was launched recently.
The Over-the-Top (OTT) Platform, MAS2TV, seeks to deliver unique Caribbean content to consumers on demand, with the tagline “Love Your Culture.” They explained that the OTT platform uses the Internet to deliver video and audio—like TV shows and film—without a cable or direct-broadcast satellite provider.
MAS2Tv wants this to be a platform for Caribbean creatives to showcase their work and be paid for it. Anyone from the Caribbean and the diaspora is welcome to submit content for consideration. They are seeing quality film and video content and are seeking to snag 15,000 paid subscriptions by end of 2014 at a cost of US$6.99 per month.
